[:us]Just like every summer, job activity crawls to a standstill and relaxing is in order. Nicosia resembles a town form the past with few cars strolling that almost makes you feel privileged to drive in the empty roads. There is barely a breeze in the air and that makes you immune to the calling of “winds of change”. Nothing at all that would signal what changes are about to happen.
“It hasn’t really sunk in yet.”
“Sinking in” is a deeper experience than just “knowing”. We know that there are serious economic problems , but it hasn’t “sunk in” yet. There is a need not only know that there are serious problems, but also to feel them. There are quite a few that have felt the effects in the last couple of years of economic depression but that number has been relatively small. Like a winter rain downpour that destroyed some crops, caused some fruit prices go up but other than that nothing changed.
The Storm is coming and there is nothing you can do to stop it. You can only partially protect from it and maybe best to afford some more protection to the ones that can withstand the storm less.
